January thaw...

This post celebrates a double digit day - especially for all of those of you who are still going on about how cold you are - wherever you are.
I've also finally downloaded my fav from this year's sleigh and cutter rally and some of nature's artwork from the interior of my storm windows. It seems I need my roof to be a cold roof rather than a hot one to begin to address the problem. Until then, I'll just enjoy the art. It changes almost every day...very pretty. I have yet to decide if they resemble coral reefs or microscopic critters.

This morning on my commute, 2 inches of newly fallen fluffy snow coated every branch of every tree in the veiled sunshine. Very pretty & with NPR telling stories of historic proportion, what's not to celebrate?? Enjoy!

Time flies...

Well a new year, and I have concluded that this "blog" thing - I abhor the word blog to start with...is something of a leisure pastime. Perhaps that will explain (months from now), why I do not ever create blog entries. We shall see.

At this juncture - with New Year's resolutions to do all sorts of meaningful things, I suspect that time or energy to be scintillating will number my entries. Working stiffs like me are immersed in perpetual darkness this time of year, so weekend efforts will have to be made for interesting photos to adorn the page. It does, however, make February and March greatly enjoyable as the sun begins to return! Perhaps this coming Saturday, at the annual Northwoods Sleigh & Cutter Rally, I will capture some northwoods charm. Here's one from last year's event! Not my horse, in case anyone might be so misguided as to think they were cart-ready. The sleigh bells are really cool, though! Lots of fancy outfits, expensive harnesses, and beautifully restored sleighs.

While commuting, the snow is truly beautiful (framed in my car's headlights) decorating every conifer for miles! Perhaps you shall see more later, or even a post-Christmas letter for friends and family. Hope springs eternal, as my current down time with TV, is limited to 32 more days. I have no intention of paying for the priviledge after Feb 17th. The piano will get much more use, I'm sure!

Take care until next...
